a day and a night by snowysylva a day and a night by snowysylva
of work for this. Or at least, I stayed up well into the night working on it.

Probably my most involved painting. I am rather proud of this; not only because I used color, but because it actually looks like me. There are a few things that are still a bit off, but I have had quite enough of staring at this for a while.

Photoshop. Freehand from a photo reference; 10 hours? Done while listening to Tommy Emmanuel's Lewis & Clark, then watching all three LotR extended versions because school was canceled for a snow day.

Great job... I came over from hughferriss page. I love how you did the eyes. I can never get the eyes to look as life like as you managed to do.

Thank you! I realized after I finished the eyes are spread a bit too far apart... but I was so pleased with how they came out I did not want to redo them.

This is really great. Your painterly mark is beautiful. The shadows and highlights look lovely and the overall construction and dimensionality of the face is well done. You handled the subtle shifts among values really well, too. Kudos. :)

wow! That is really good. The picture gives a warm feeling to it and all the little freckles and in general detail of the face <3

Thanks! I adjusted the color on the original to make it warmer because I figured it would be easier to draw, ha. And gotta have me freckles in there. XD

My goodness, that's amazing! *w*

I love the colors you used here, I can't exactly explain why. They just look so soft. <333

And the detail is amazing. The subtle impression of freckles in spots just blows me away, and the hair~~~ >w< Definitely an off day well spent.

Heh, thank you. I did the color variation thing in photoshop on the original, adding more red, as I like the feeling that gives better than the original colors (especially since the camera was on my phone; not the best for portraiture).

Yea. When I was finished I looked at it and thought "what the- I drew this?" ^^; lolz.
